Reading Festival Turning 90,000 Attendees 'Waste' To Energy

This August bank holiday weekend Reading festival expected 90,000 festival goers and saw some of the biggest music acts in the industry, including; Eminem, Liam Gallagher, Fatboy Slim and Muse.

Once again tankers are going to be deployed throughout this week to transport hundreds of thousands of litres of human waste to the Reading Sewage works every day to be converted in to renewable energy!

The waste will go through a screening system to make sure unwanted items don't back up the sewers pipes, last year the waste collected from the festival produced enough energy to power 10 homes for a whole year!
